Marduk, a desexed male Doberman, began his journey through cancer in 2023 when he was six (6) years old.
A lump was noticed on his right thigh. As a precaution, that lump was excised by the Salisbury Highway Veterinary Surgery (SHVS) The surgical wound healed and his life continued normally for the next 15 months.
In June 2024, a lump was noticed around the previous scar. It was surgically removed at the SHVS and sent off for examination. The histopathology indicated that the lump was a high grade/grade III mast cell tumour. Four (4) other lumps were sampled by fine needle aspiration and found to just be fatty lumps
