Easter Island
After a five and half hour flight from Santiago, Mark and Alexa landed at the Mataveri Airport on Easter Island. From there it was off to the centre of town to pick up a hire car that they would use to explore Easter Island - Mark had always wanted to visit Easter Island since he was a boy at primary school reading all those adventure stories of the South Pacific.
Rather than the few hours that Mark & Alexa would have had if they came by cruise boat, they had nearly four (4) days to drive themselves around the island and look at what they wanted.
There was so much to see that only a small portion of the island is shown in the photos attached to this page.
